TACO TIME GOLF CONTEST TO BENEFIT CHILDREN'S COTTAGE SOCIETY CHARITY

Taco Time Canada President Ken Pattenden today announced that Taco Time’s Calgary stores will begin promoting a Club Taco Golf Contest to win four passes to the Calgary Classic, a Nationwide Tour event and the grand prize - a set of Jack Nicklaus golf clubs.

"We are a proud sponsor of the Nationwide Tour’s Calgary Classic golf tournament that will be held at the Links at GlenEagles in Cochrane August 25-31," says Pattenden. "Since profits from the golf tournament go back to support local charities including the Children’s Cottage Society of Calgary, a charity that Taco Time Canada supports, we thought it was a unique opportunity for us to help raise awareness of the golf event and the Children’s Cottage to our Calgary customers."

Point of purchase materials and contest ballots are available at all 21 Calgary Taco Time stores including the newly opened Cantina fast casual restaurant serving authentic Mexican food and alcohol.

Operating under the umbrella of the PGA TOUR, the Calgary Classic is one of 30 Nationwide Tour events this year. The Links at GlenEagles, a 7,019-yard, par-72 course was voted Canada’s third-best new course in 1999 by Golf Digest magazine. Total purse money is US$450,000 with the winner receiving prize money of $81,000.
