KELOWNA TACO TIME OWNER RECEIVES FRANCHISEE OF THE YEAR AWARD

Mr. Ken Pattenden, President, Taco Time Canada is pleased to announce that Ray Heathcote is the 2002 recipient of the company’s Franchisee of the Year Award. Mr. Heathcote who operates two Kelowna Taco Time stores was honored at the company’s recent 25th anniversary franchisee convention in Lethbridge, Alberta.

"Winning this award requires an outstanding effort," says Pattenden. "The winner must be the best at integrating financial performance with Taco Time’s core values of serving authentic Mexican food quickly and safely, and in an attractive environment with uncompromising customer service."

In addition to his Franchisee of the Year honour, Mr. Heathcote also received a 2002 Golden Cactus Award for both of his Kelowna franchises. The Cactus Award is given to franchises that display superior service and quality within the Taco Time system. Each Golden Cactus award winner in attendance at the convention received a return trip for two to the 2003 Taco Time Convention in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Mr. Heathcote, a member of the company’s Franchisee Advisory Council has been a Taco Time franchisee for 24 years.
