Coffee lovers Imperial and Davina Devine (Drag Queens) are joining
Derek Mc Donnell, (CEO Deemac Coffee Services) and Bernadette McCullagh,
(Group Marketing Manager O’Briens) and the O’Briens staff to celebrate
the first O’Briens Quality Growth Coffee Awards in a life size coffee
cup, measuring two metres high and two metres wide.
The celebrations take place on Tuesday 11th November at 11am on
Grafton Street, where O'Briens Harcourt Hall and Tara Street Dublin,
will be announced as the winners in the first quarter of the Quality
Growth Coffee Awards. The stores are awarded €1,000 worth of Holiday
Vouchers for consistently producing the best O'Briens quality coffee
in Ireland.
"It is so easy to get it wrong and make bad coffee, no matter how
good the bean," said Derek Mc Donnell. "That is why franchisees
and their staff undertake training with Deemac Coffee Services and
learn how to make a their cappuccinos, espressos, café lattes or
mochas to a consistently high standard. Our Quality Growth Awards
initiative rewards the very best."
The judging, presided over by Ireland's authority on coffee roasting,
Derek Mc Donnell, involved 8 separate testing by a designated mystery
tester over a period of three months. The staff of each store will
receive a plaque and €1,000 holiday voucher plus a chance to win
a trip to Verona, home of O'Briens espresso based coffees.
"The Quality Growth Awards are part of O'Briens strategy to ensure
customers enjoy a consistent high quality coffee no matter which
outlet they visit the length and breadth of the country", stated
Bernadette Mc Cullagh, Group Marketing Manager, O’Briens Irish Sandwich
Bars.
