George Rummel, former Senior Executive with McDonald's and prominent
member of the Interntional Franchise Association, has joined the
iFranchise Group as a Senior Consultant. "We are extremely
proud to be able to offer our clients Rummel's wealth of experience,"
said Mark Siebert, CEO of the iFranchise Group. "The vast majority
of franchisors could never hope to access this level of expertise
- until now."
Rummel brings some thirty years of legal, business, and foodservice
expertise to bear on behalf of iFranchise Group clients. Rummel
spent more than twenty years at McDonald's, where, as their Vice
President/Associate General Counsel, he was a member of "Team
U.S.A.", McDonald's top management group for the U.S. Company.
Beyond his primary responsibility of advising senior management
on legal and business issues, Rummel also served as a representative
to the National Operator's Advisory Board (NOAB), representing all
2,800 domestic franchisees. While at McDonald's, Mr. Rummel also
served as chief counsel to the Operations Group of the corporation.
Rummel will spearhead the iFranchise Group's newly devised programs
geared toward helping franchisors mitigate risk and reduce exposure
to litigation, two fields in which he was intimately involved during
his tenure at McDonald's. "There is a huge need for these services,
but people simply do not know how to properly assess and minimize
risk," said Siebert. "We expect some larger franchisors
who use this service will save tens of thousands of dollars annually,
and perhaps much more." Rummel will also be involved in training
iFranchise Group clients on the franchise sales process.
