The owner of one of Harcourts' most consistently successful and
long-standing offices, Paul Hedwig of Harcourts Nelson, has just
announced the launch of a dedicated Golden Bay team. Mr Hedwig said
Golden Bay had undergone huge changes in recent years, and having
owned a property there for 12 years had experienced many of those
changes himself. He noted that Takaka and the surrounding area was
no longer just the domain of an alternative laid-back culture, with
the stunning coastal environment now a key attraction for visitors
and residents worldwide.
While having partially serviced the Golden Bay area from his Nelson
office for many years, Mr Hedwig said due to the increasing demand
for the high level of service Harcourts offered its clients, a clear
need for a resident team had been established.
Harcourts now provided its Golden Bay clients with not only residential
property expertise, but farming, lifestyle and dedicated commercial
property expertise due to the close ties with Harcourts' dominant
Nelson office. Mr Hedwig emphasised Harcourts' strong international
links, referral systems, and having the most visited real estate
group website in the country ensured clients enjoyed extensive and
sophisticated marketing programmes to achieve outstanding property
results.
With a clientele based in the sweeping bay bordered each end by
the internationally renowned Abel Tasman and Heaphy tracks, the
Golden Bay team members were at this stage working from their home
bases with a prominent Takaka main street window displaying listings.
Mr Hedwig described the experienced multinational team headed by
Brian Devonshire (AREINZ), with Susan Devonshire, Nikki Ryan, Brad
Harwood-Heising (ex USA), and Monika Stompe (ex Austria), as "five
people passionate about living in Golden Bay and keen to offer their
services and international links".
CEO of Harcourts New Zealand, Bryan Thomson, said, "The opening
of any new office is an exciting time for our group as each new
location adds to our national and international coverage providing
our clients with direct access to buyers and sellers throughout
the world, particular in areas like Golden Bay which is now so multinational.
As someone born and bred in the Nelson district, this office opening
is personally very satisfying to see and with one of our leading
business owners at the helm we know it will be massively successful."
