Franchise Recruiters Ltd.®, an international executive search
corporation, and Jerry Wilkerson are celebrating 25 years in the
business of franchising. With 2002 surpassing the best years of
the firm, Franchise Recruiters plans on expanding aggressively in
the U.S.
Wilkerson founded Franchise Recruiters Ltd. in 1984 after leaving
his leadership position at the International Franchise Association
(IFA) in Washington, D.C. His career in franchising began at the
IFA in December 1977 as Chief Lobbyist, and Director of Public Affairs.
Wilkerson was later selected by the Board as the acting President
of the association.
Today, the executive recruiting corporation, with offices in the
U.S. and Canada, has skillfully placed over 400 franchise management
experienced professionals with major franchisors in positions of
decision-making responsibility around the globe. While focusing
on the U.S., the firm has completed search contracts in Europe,
the Middle East, Japan, Australia, Mexico, Canada, Great Britain,
Africa, South America, and most recently China.
On the anniversary of a quarter century in franchising Wilkerson
said, "The truest success of a person is found in the friendships
made along the way in life. I am privileged to have worked with
many of the entrepreneurs who have changed the face of the world
as we know it today through the business of franchising."
Wilkerson plans to expand Franchise Recruiters Ltd. with partners
and additional offices in the U.S., a corporate structure similar
to his operations in Canada. The recruiting firm will develop strategic
alliances focused on franchise hiring solutions and on providing
superior personal service for franchisors through offices located
in selected marketing areas.
"When setting out to build Franchise Recruiters, I did not
plan to follow a well-worn path. I wanted to go where there was
no path and to leave a trail," Wilkerson stated. "We will
continue on that course through the next generation of franchise
management recruiting while consistently striving to meet and exceed
the highest business standards."
